Editing a collection

Introduction

Each collection has a variety of settings that control its behaviour (e.g. what data is gathered, who can view the collection, what special actions are performed when updating the collection, how results are displayed etc.).

Editing a collection's settings will usually be necessary to fine tune the collection to suit your requirements. The edit collection page provides an interface for doing this.

Editing a collection

  1. Go to the "Select collection to manage" section of the administration home page.
  2. Use the drop-down menu to select the collection you wish to manage.
  3. Click on the "Administer" tab
  4. Click on the "edit collection settings" link

The Edit Collection pages are a series of pages that allow you to enter relevant parameters for your collection. More information about the meaning of each individual parameter can be accessed by clicking on the ? link next to each parameter name.

There are several pages of options, grouped into categories. To navigate between the categories, click on the category tabs along the left hand side of the page. When you are finished editing the collection's parameters, press the 'Save' button at the bottom of the page.
